Responsibilities

Business Development:

In the realm of business development, the Landscape Design Sales Representative will embark on the proactive identification and cultivation of new business opportunities within the landscape design sector. Leveraging a diverse array of prospecting techniques, including networking and targeted cold calling, the representative will diligently establish and meticulously maintain a robust sales pipeline.

Needs Assessments:

An inherent aspect of this role is the ability to conduct comprehensive needs assessments with potential clients. This involves delving into the unique requirements of each client, ensuring a nuanced understanding of their specific landscape design needs and preferences.

Industry Expertise:

Elevating the position further is the mandate to develop and maintain an extensive understanding of industry trends, products, and best practices related to landscape design. The Landscape Sales Representative is expected to adeptly articulate the features and benefits of our landscape design services, showcasing an unwavering commitment to staying abreast of industry advancements and effectively communicating these insights to potential clients.

Proposal Development:

Integral to this role is the collaborative development of proposals in conjunction with our esteemed design and installation teams. This involves working closely with these teams to craft comprehensive, compelling, and tailored proposals that align seamlessly with client needs, all the while showcasing the full spectrum of our landscape design capabilities.

Relationship Building:

Distinguishing our ideal candidate is a proven ability to cultivate enduring relationships with clients through the delivery of exceptional customer service. Will work seamlessly with the project manager to ensure the client has fully been satisfied.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

As part of the strategic framework, the Landscape Sales Representative will maintain meticulous and accurate records of all sales activities. This commitment to precision supports informed decision-making and strategy development. Regularly providing detailed reports and updates on sales performance and market trends to management contributes significantly to the continuous refinement of our sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of sales experience to the table, preferably within the landscape or construction industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of landscaping principles and practices such as hardscapes, softscapes, irrigation, construction and drainage are a requirement. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
