As Wrightsville Beach’s Premiere Destination Resort, the Blockade Runner Beach Resort has sixty years of experience in providing sensational customer service, shaped by the luxury of being a part of the coastal culture of one of the most beautiful and serene beaches on the North Carolina Coast. Each employee, trained and empowered, is responsible for providing a guest experience that is not only enjoyable but unforgettable.

We are looking for a Recreation Supervisor to assist guests with activity rentals and ensure the guests’ needs are met while utilizing resort amenities! This position is responsible for training, leading, and assisting our beach and pool attendants on daily tasks. Duties also include ensuring the set-up and breakdown of pool, lawn, and beach amenities as well as maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of recreation facilities.

Starting pay $15.50 depending on experience plus tips and incentives!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with training all Attendants, complete training logs for each staff member
• Assist Recreation Director with monitoring facilities and condition of equipment
• Oversee and assist with daily set-up & breakdown of beach rentals
• Ensure beach sheets are completed properly and monitor billing of within PMS
• Awareness and promotion of all resort amenities, activities, and rentals
• Have thorough knowledge of the surrounding area to help answer any guest questions
• Ability to book activities and amenities within activity booking system
• Properly store and care for activity equipment
• Ensure schedules and staffing levels meet the needs of hotel occupancy
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and hold team accountable for following all Company policies and procedures
• Assist with other departments as needed

Requirements:

• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and guest billing
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours a day outdoors and work in all weather conditions
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work mornings, weekdays and weekends, and some holidays
• Strong swimmer: ability to exercise for a period of 30 minutes intervals

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour
