Overview of BLOC:
We are an inner city ministry that lives and works in the neighborhoods we serve. Our mission exists to build relationships with our neighbors and share hope in brokenness. We target neighborhoods that are underserved. We have a staff size of about 45 where we have after school programs, sports performance center, houses for women in sex trafficking, men and women transitional homes, two coffee shops, screen printing, and other forms of ministry to love our neighbors.
About the role:
The Resident Support Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our residential home for women and to ensure the welfare of our residents.
What you will do:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Resident Support Coordinator to join our team. The Resident Support Coordinator will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for our residents. Responsibilities include ensuring that all residents are aware of and adhere to house policies, leading house meetings to foster community and communication, and assisting residents in navigating their schedules effectively. The Coordinator will serve as a direct point of contact for daily shift staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed and addressing conflicts between residents with empathy and professionalism.
Additionally, the Resident Support Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring alarm systems, managing resident payments and records, overseeing grocery shopping activities, and ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the residence. The Coordinator will also assist residents in completing new hire paperwork, handle emergencies and exceptions with composure and efficiency, and manage medication administration and documentation.
Furthermore, the Resident Support Coordinator will oversee building maintenance and be available to work one weekend on-call each month.
You will be a good fit for the role:
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstrate empathy and patience, and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks. Having a Bachelor's degree in social work, public policy, health care administration or related social services area is a plus.
