Role Summary

As a Program Manager at Bliss Munitions Equipment, you will play a critical role in our team’s success by providing strategic oversight and delivery of large-scale programs. The BME team utilizes decades of experience to provide world-class service and quality craftsmanship, to continue the Bliss tradition of exceptional, long-lasting products that drive worldwide industry innovation to our customers. In this role you will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with Sales team to launch programs and estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

· Develop full-scale project plans, project timelines and associated communications documents to ensure customer on time delivery.

· Effectively and proactively communicate project expectations to internal and external teams.

· Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

· Identity resource gaps and collaborate with leadership team to quickly resolve.

· Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

· Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

· Develop and manage open issues list on projects and devise contingencies to move project forward.

· Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documentation, and presentations.

· Build, develop, and grow any business relationship vital to the success of the project.

· Conduct project "lessons learned" reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

· Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

· Collaborate with program management team members.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Due to industry law and regulations, candidates must be a current US Citizen or US Green Card holder.
• Ability to work On-Site at our Kentwood office and travel as needed.
• Strong communication skills (English, verbal and written) with experience successfully collaborating with and aligning internal and external teams to ensure project success.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Program or Project Manager in manufacturing, machining, machine building or related industry.
• Ability to self-manage day to day priorities and pivot quickly to ensure projects are completed on budget, with strong quality, and on time.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts as they arise and quickly negotiate solutions to ensure project success.
• Familiarity with DFAR, NIST and ITAR regulations is not required, but preferred.
• PgMP or PMP certification (strongly desired but not required)
• Experience working with Microsoft Office & Microsoft projects (required)
• Bachelor’s degree (strongly desired but not required)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
