We're looking for a customer facing shipping and receiving coordinator to ensure all customer related logistics activities run smoothly. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the logistics team and customers to go between and communicate logistics updates and freight quotes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team and make a positive impact on our organization.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding quotes, timelines, and other shipping related topics.
- Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
- Manage Freight Quotes and Third Party Logistics
- Direct the flow of materials and finished goods from preparation to shipment
- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
- Resolve issues regarding orders by communicating with customers and other members of the internal team
Requirements and skills
- Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
- Great customer service skills and experience
- Experience in using EDI and preparing shipping documents
- Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- High school diploma; BSc/BA in supply chain, logistics or relative field is a definite plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
