REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources
Takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a nursing care plan provided by the nursing team.
Provides direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations
Provides services to one or more age populations, including adolescent through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served
Must have full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital
Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) and safety plan at Blessing Hospital.
Gen Med/Hospitalist/ODU Details
This unit is a very fast-paced environment seeing a wide range of patients, such as chest pain with possible interventional needs, outpatient surgical procedures requiring minimal post-operative monitoring, respiratory illnesses with low oxygen demand needs for general medicine patients.
The medical management of observations is that all tests and procedures are completed within 24 hours, which is what creates such a fast-paced environment.
All patients are ambulatory and independent or need minimal assistance.

REQUIRED:
Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
EXCELLENT COMPUTER SKILLS
PREFERRED:
BSN
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
Possesses current Illinois RN license.
