Blend is Hiring a Software Engineer (Infrastructure) Near Los Angeles, CA

The Infrastructure Team is solving significant internal engineering challenges as we expand from processing thousands to millions of loans, at more and more lending organizations, and over an increasingly large part of the lifecycle of each loan. We are engineers who care deeply about shipping the best experience possible the first time. 

The challenges we face are highly technical and highly impactful for other engineering teams in the company! We are looking for engineers who are passionate about self service infrastructure, service mesh, performance, security, and scalability. We are looking for a strong collaborator who is willing to work with platform development teams to understand their needs, design solutions that fulfill their immediate needs but that also establish good patterns for long-term scalability.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Collaborate with platform development and security teams to understand their needs
  • Enable teams to fully own the lifecycle of their services
  • Work on our internal service deployment tool that sits on top of Kubernetes
  • Build tools to enable developer productivity

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education background
  • Proficient in a modern programming language like Go or TypeScript/Node.js
  • Are interested in container orchestration and scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with other teams

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with AWS / GCP
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Have a good understanding of MongoDB and Postgres
  • Experience with Terraform

To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.

For full time hires, the hiring compensation range for this position is $111,000 ~ $125,000. Blend benefits and perks are described below.

Final pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay will be adjusted for part-time roles to reflect scheduled hours.
