Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations and ensuring the efficient functioning of our facilities. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with the Plant Leadership and Engineering to coordinate general and preventative maintenance duties. This person will also be responsible for the day to day supervision of the maintenance technicians.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

· Lead and implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance): inspect and overhaul equipment as well as perform preventative maintenance and teach selected maintenance tasks to operators.

· Drive maintenance tasks and history with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)

· Improve equipment: implement predictive technologies and correct design weaknesses.

· Partner with vendors.

· Develop 5S strategies to run parallel with maintenance department: organize and manage spare parts, develop and maintain equipment inspection checklists, develop, implement and maintain metrics for maintenance effectiveness, perform 5S audits.

· Establish and maintain an orderly maintenance shop.

· Supervise facility maintenance to include: grounds, janitorial, building, new construction, and renovation.

· Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and courteous manner and perform general mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance.

· Trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment including large production machinery, hand-tools, and other miscellaneous equipment.

· Coordinates with safety personnel to ensure proper paralleling of safety regulations and standards and participates as a member of the safety committee.

· Reliable attendance is a must.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

· Intermediate Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

· Intermediate Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Intermediate Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

· Computer Skills - Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software; Internet software, Manufacturing software

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Associate degree in a related field preferred or a combination.

· 5 years prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing, distribution or warehousing environment.

· Certification in a technical discipline

· Equivalent combination of Education and Experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Directly supervises staff
