Bledsoe Premier Home Health Care was established in 2019 in Memphis, TN. We provide non-medical home care services to seniors in Des Moines County, IA, Shelby County, TN, and DeSoto County, MS. Our mission is to enhance and strengthen our members quality of life by providing respectable, safe, and dignified care.

Description:

Provide services to seniors in their own homes and communities who needs assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other inflictions. Personal care may include assistance with activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, companionship, and respite.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to Supervisor, Office Manager, or Director.

Responsibilities/ Activities:

Assist with the activities of daily living and personal care include:

• bathing
• mouth care
• hair care
• nail care
• skin care
• shaving
• dressing
• feeding
• positioning
• transferring
• ambulation
• exercise
• toileting
• medication reminding
• Ensure clients safety and security by supervising Home environment
• Perform housekeeping and meal preparation by routinely making meds, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry
• Provide companionship including encouragement of activities, conversations, and emotional reassurance
• Provide respite care for families in accordance with care plans
• Perform essential shopping/ errand running which may include handling members money.
• Assist clients with following their written special diet plan
• Accompany client to medical appointments, errands, shopping, etc.
• Assist client with communication
• Carry out duties assigned by the Supervisor
• Report unsafe conditions to the Supervisor

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of personal care and home management skills
• Knowledge of the English language

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Good physical and mental health
• Physical ability to stand, walk, use hand and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and see.
• Mental fortitude and stability to handle high stress situations
• Physical and mental ability to drive a vehicle

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma
• At least 18 years old
• Pass all background checks( criminal, sex offender, abuse, etc)
• Reliable transportation
• Be able to follow written and verbal commands
• Understand and adheres to polices and procedures
• Complete all required documentation forms
• Can function adequately without supervison
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Enjoys works with seniors and is patient and understanding
• Be emotionally mature and able to respond to clients and situations in a responsible manner
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Participates in daily phone log monitoring
• Attend regularly offered in services

Training/Experience

• 1 year experience working with seniors or disabled recommended but not required
• On the job training will be provided

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
