We are actively seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team near Phoenix, AZ, for a full-time position during the 2023-24 academic school year. This opportunity comes with comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, and a 401(K) plan for those working a full time 30 hours per week. Part Time employees however do not quality for for benefits.
The TVI will be responsible for general TVI duties, including serving as a case manager, writing IEPs, and providing services to students with visual impairments. Candidates with previous experience as a TVI in a school setting are highly preferred.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, special education, or a related field

Employment Type:

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: May 24th, 2024
• Part-Time or Full-Time (Caseload based on full or part-time)

Caseload Details:

• Population: High School; students with visual impairments, ranging from General Ed. classes to those with cognitive disabilities and medically fragile conditions.

Requirements:

• Certification through ADE
• Current IVP card
• Good references
• Experience as a TVI case manager
• Proficient in writing IEPs and providing services for students with visual impairments
