Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced 1:1 Instructional Assistants to join our team for full-time positions within school districts in the Westfield, IN area. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students enrolled in Life Skills Programs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support and assistance to students with special needs enrolled in the Life Skills Program, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate closely with special education teachers and other school staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support students in achieving their learning goals.
• Assist students with daily tasks, including personal care routines, mobility, communication, and behavior management, as outlined in their IEPs.
• Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of local and state requirements for instructional assistant positions, including any necessary certifications or clearances.
• Compassion, patience, and empathy in working with students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support the needs of students.
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs and dynamics of the classroom environment.
