Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for a contract position in Hyde Park, MA. This opportunity involves working with students in grades 1st through 4th, supporting their educational needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). If you are passionate about providing high-quality education and support to students with disabilities, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to ensure the implementation of appropriate accommodations and modifications.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Valid DESE certification in Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 or Severe Disabilities.
  • Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
