Educational and Licensing Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Florida.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Florida Department of Education certification or eligibility for certification.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' speech and language goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students' academic and social success.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and accommodations.
- Stay current on best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology through professional development activities.
