**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and inventory management, with a keen eye for accuracy and efficiency. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inventory data, conducting cycle counts, and detecting discrepancies to ensure the integrity of our inventory records.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.
2. Manage and update inventory.
3. Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, including variances in counts and locations.
4. Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to resolve inventory issues in a timely manner.
5. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize errors.
6. Perform physical inventory audits as required to reconcile system records with physical inventory counts.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management and control.
8. Safely handle and lift inventory items weighing up to 75 lbs as needed.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and storage areas.
10. Provide training and support to warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and control procedures.
**Qualifications:**
1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent field experience will also be considered.
2. Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect and resolve inventory discrepancies.
4. Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
7. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
10. Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
