Join Fast Growing Home Builder in College Station!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand architectural plans and builder’s specs/features.
  • Consult with new home buyers to discuss their budget and design/decor preferences by setting expectations with home buyers regarding the selection process.
  • Enter selections into builder database program.
  • Stay up to date on the latest design and residential construction trends as they pertain to the interior and exterior selections.
  • Provide appropriate responses while communicating via email and/or phone calls with home buyers, builders, and the internal company.
  • Prepare selections for move-in-ready homes.
  • Organize and maintain interior and exterior selection showroom.
  • Attend sales and project meetings.
  • Ensure the samples are refreshed and up to date in the showroom.
  • Act as liaison to new home buyers throughout the construction process to clarify/resolve selection related issues.
  • Assist with project estimates and order materials as required.
  • Coordinate the job start process, ensuring that all requirements of a successful job start are met in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate the house closing process, ensuring that all requirements are met for a timely, smooth closing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience of 1-3 years in design, residential interior decorating, or showroom
  • Displays a strong knowledge of interior finishes, residential decor
  • Customer Service focused professional with solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Detail oriented, self-disciplined, and organized with excellent follow-up
  • Ability to deal with conflict & set expectations
  • Great listening skills and creative problem solving with the ability to find the root cause, as well as a solution
  • Must be a team-player with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Effective communication skills and a sense of urgency
  • High level of integrity
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good time management skills
