BlackRocks Infrastructure Debt Group focuses on infrastructure debt investments in western Europe, North America and some geographies in Asia and Latam. The types of infrastructure sectors targeted include transportation, social infrastructure, power, energy and utilities, water and wastewater, and telecoms.

**Job Purpose/Background:**

BlackRock has an opportunity for a qualified and experienced candidate to join the Infrastructure Debt team.

The role will have responsibility for project and financial modelling, deal assessment and execution, development and review of due diligence reports, market research, portfolio monitoring and general analytics. Will also assist in preparing presentations and pitch books, cash flow analysis, researching and report writing.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Financial modelling: running and developing financial models in order to analyze project opportunities

Deal assessment and execution: working with the team to assess and execute project investments. This will include conducting due diligence, financial review, preparation of presentation material for investment committee etc.

Market research: including research on potential investments, policy, competitors, technology, etc.

Portfolio monitoring: assist in the monitoring of investments in the portfolio

**Knowledge/Experience:**

2-3 years of relevant experience in project finance and/or infrastructure debt

Strong understanding of the infrastructure market, preferably with a growing network of contacts within the market.

Highly numerate with demonstrable financial modelling and evaluation skills. In particular, a good understanding of cash flow modelling and sensitivity analysis

Experience of undertaking infrastructure due diligence processes and reviewing finance and project legal documentation

A keen interest in infrastructure debt investment

Demonstrated research, analytical, and presentation-drafting skills

**Skills/Qualifications:**

Strong academic background, Bachelors degree in finance, economics, mathematics/statistics, or a related field or equivalent

Strong financial modelling skills

Experience in Project or Corporate Finance

CFA, CAIA or advanced degree preferred

**Competencies:**

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work independently, while also participating collaboratively as part of a team

Enthusiasm and commitment to working in a friendly, entrepreneurial, team environment

Able to manage workload effectively and deliver quality work on schedule

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
