SUMMARY: Helps to run an efficient shipping department by assisting the Shipping Coordinator with daily tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associate consistent with Core Behaviors
• Responsible for promoting culture ofsafety
• Sort and record all incoming “used” cloth rag wheels by customer and destination and turn data report into the office 
• for processing
• Incoming used wheels will need to be soaked; washed; buffed of the old grit, utilizing a grinding wheel; sorted on 
• portable drying rod and bolt racks; new grit re-applied; and then dried in the ovens
• Keep area clean by cleaning work areas and keeping it neat and organized by putting things away in designated 
• areas on a daily basis
• Assist with the quarterly “new” cloth rag wheels inventory count and is responsible for requesting the re-order of 
• “new” cloth rag wheel inventory stock as needed
• Works under the Manufacturing Office Manager & Production Planner

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be proficient with basic computer operation and knowledgeable about position (P21, Clippership, World Ship)
• Proficient knowledge of basic mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be punctual and act with a sense of urgency
• Must be proficient at following ISO procedures
• Basic product knowledge

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• No direct supervisory responsibility

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in a shipping department a plus 
• UPS shipment processing a plus 
• Experience utilizing the MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel
• Must be able to follow instructions in a fast paced, flexible environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Employee is regularly required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employee is required to use computer and other equipment
• Good working conditions: Environment may be slightly dirty or involve occasional exposure to elements. Work is generally performed during traditional working hours; regular day hours Monday through Friday.
• Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.

PPE REQUIRED:

• Eye protection, hearing protection, foot protection with metatarsal guard, puncture proof gloves.
