The mission of the Corporate Information Technologies Department (CIT) isto leverage technology to enable IFC’s strategic priorities and to support IFC’sbusiness and operations. By acting as the technology partner and businessenabler, the department provides state-of-art information and technologysolutions to support IFC’s operations.

CIT is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Loan System Specialist withstrong business analytical and technical skills to join the team. This is anexciting opportunity to join a team of highly skilled, diverse, and technicalprofessionals and contribute to the IFC’s priorities. The position will be basedin Washington DC.

Requirements

• Assess overall project requirements, business needs, problems, and areasof process improvement.

• Participate or lead the feasibility analysis for new systems/applications,settle if existing solutions (internally or externally) or whether innovativesolutions can meet the business requirements.

• Lead or participate in technical evaluations of new products or services andprovide technical mentorship to the project team.• Craft and implement systems that are fully secured and void of securityrisks and vulnerabilities, working closely with Enterprise Architecture andOffice of Information Security teams in the technical area and certificationareas of the project, and to follow their standard methodologies andguidelines.

• Perform coding and/or configuration to meet documented needs, applyingstandard procedures and techniques.

• Participate substantively in testing the functionality of systems beingdeveloped and whether requirements gathered and approved are being met.Lead peer reviews and prepare test plans and participate in post-implementation reviews.

• Become an authority of existing systems and processes.

• May lead the completion of a phase of a large project or run a project.

• May coordinate and run production support.Selection Criteria

• Master's degree with 5 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree witha minimum of 7 years of meaningful experience in Accounting, Banking,Finance or Computer Science with work experience with AccountingConcepts. A professional accounting qualification is helpful.

• Experience in requirements collection and interviewing capabilities, stronganalytical skills to critically evaluate collected information, and highproficiency in business/technical requirements' documentation for large-scaleinformation systems.• Experience in the design, development, and implementation of largesystems.

• Expertise in solution architecture including web services, asynchronousmessaging, relational and non-relational databases, front-end and back-endtechnologies.

• Experience in Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices suchas Continuous Integration and automated deployment.

• Understanding of public cloud platform architectures and hybrid cloudarchitectures and concepts (focus on Azure, AWS).

• Strong demonstrable experience in loan servicing, accounting systems,transaction processing and accounting concepts. Direct functional experiencein a commercial lending and servicing system will be an especially appealingskill.

• Good project management skills and experience.

• A professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.
