The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the inbound receiving and outbound shipping departments. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure a safe environment.

Objectives of this Role

• Collaborate with procurement staff to prepare for expected deliveries
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Unload packages / freight from incoming trucks
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Create receiving report for procurement staff to request credit from vendors / distributors
• Label deliveries and place them to their designated place
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
• Obtain and process product orders
• Review palletized outbound shipments for accuracy
• Review outbound pallets for proper preparation (pallet condition, stretch wrap, etc.)
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items
• Keep files of goods shipped and received
• Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
• Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
• Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff
• Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
• MUST HAVE knowledge of Amazon Seller Central - Fulfillment by Amazon requirements and policies
