Black Rock Dental Care is Hiring a Dental Receptionist Near Bridgeport, CT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in the dental office. Your primary responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, maintaining medical records, and handling administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office

- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix Ascend

- Manage patient records, including updating personal information and medical history

- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner

- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing

- Collect payments from patients and provide accurate billing information

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area

- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist is preferred

- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail with accurate data entry skills

- Familiarity with front desk operations in a dental or medical office setting

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
