Position Summary

The Reliability Supervisor is an important member of the maintenance and reliability team that will put together a maintenance inspection report for critical equipment and support the planning and scheduling process including in the plan preventive and corrective maintenance tasks coming out from the inspections. This position will be responsible for working with the maintenance, and production teams to coordinate maintenance functions, support maintenance supervisors, and maintenance planners to coordinate maintenance jobs. The Reliability Supervisor is responsible for developing a good plan to have maintenance equipment historical information updated in the computerized maintenance management system. This position must demonstrate a pattern of safe behavior, good attendance, good disciplinary record, initiative, effective communication skills, and problem-solving skills.

The Reliability Supervisor position requires medium to advance-level of mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting knowledge. This position will lead some repairs and preventative maintenance of heavy industrial machinery/equipment at our mine site or work in coordination with the plant mechanical supervisors. This position will be expected to always adhere to all safety regulations and practice safe operations.

Essential Functions

• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in the safety program
• Completes workplace examination, notify of any deviation to their supervisor
• Perform duties safely and responsibly while always observing all safety and health rules

• Assist Reliability Superintendent in planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance projects and programs
• Work with Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to prioritize maintenance workload and coordinate preventative maintenance activities
• Knowledge of how equipment works, from and not limited to water pumps, baghouses, conveyors (Belt Scale Calibration), Slurry pumps, blowers, dryers, minerals separators, machine repairs, with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze equipment problems
• Coordinate work with Planner/Scheduler and follow up on completed jobs/WO

• Support planners to keep updated equipment historical information (maintenance performed), equipment bill of material, and information for equipment and parts refurbishment process
• Ensure housekeeping standards in the maintenance work areas
• Assists with any other task required by the management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/manufacturing/chemical engineering is desirable; or high school diploma or GED; or related experience/education combination of experience and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills.
• Intermediate to Advance-level maintenance, planning, scheduling, equipment/process design and manufacturing is required
• Four (4) plus years of relevant work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Mechanical Vibrations analysis fundamentals is required
• Machinery Lubrication I (MLT I), Certification (by International Council for Machinery Lubrication) will be a plus
• Vibration analysis Level I certification will be a plus
• PMI Scheduling Professional certification will be a plus
• Experience supervising technical groups is required
• Ability to apply knowledge and experience to a wide variety of situations, recommends solutions to mechanical/ electric/ system problems
• Ability to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language
• Ability to read and elaborate projects report in English language
• Must have a team player attitude with a high-level of self-motivation requiring minimal supervision
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills required

This classification is a “safety sensitive” position as defined by the Mine Safety and Health Administration drug and alcohol testing regulations, the Texas Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act and/or Texas Medical Marijuana laws. As a “safety sensitive” classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.
