Black Hills Regional Eye Institute is currently seeking a Lasik Ophthalmic Technician for a busy practice. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you are responsible for assisting patients through the course of an eye examination and procedures to include laser vision correction and dry eye treatments. An Ophthalmic Technician performs all areas of history taking and patient work ups, provides patient education per the physicians' instructions, triage urgent calls and documenting the patient’s encounter in our medical records systems. The successful candidate will be friendly, efficient, possess a good work ethic and have a positive attitude. The candidate also must have attention to detail, multi-task and be able to adapt to a flexible schedule.

Criteria:

• Experience in medical, optometry, or ophthalmology practice preferred but not required.
• Be able to travel
• Moderate to strong computer skills.
