You will be responsible for delivering top-notch service, taking orders, providing menu recommendations, managing tables, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
1. Guest Service:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly, providing a friendly and positive first impression.
- Assist guests in selecting menu items, answering questions, and offering suggestions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
2. Wine Service:
- Provide wine recommendations and assist guests with wine selections.
- Pour and serve wine following proper service standards.
- Ensure wine glasses are filled and wine bottles are presented elegantly.
3. Menu Knowledge:
- Have a thorough understanding of the restaurant's food and beverage offerings.
- Stay informed about daily specials, promotions, and any menu changes.
- Be able to describe menu items in a compelling and enticing manner.
4. Table Management:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tables throughout the meal.
- Pre-bus and clear tables efficiently, removing empty dishes, glassware, and utensils.
- Crumb and reset tables for the next guests.
5. Payment Handling:
- Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and electronic payments.
- Return change or receipts promptly and thank guests for their visit.
- Ensure the accuracy of checks and payments.
6. Suggestive Selling:
- Enhance the dining experience by suggesting additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty cocktails.
- Upsell menu items to increase revenue while meeting guest preferences.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant service experience as server or bartender is required
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Bartender Job Duties
1. Drink Preparation:
- Prepare a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and specialty drinks according to the restaurant's standards.
- Consistently maintain the highest quality and presentation of drinks.
- Prepare garnishes, juices, and other drink ingredients according to prep recipes.
2. Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders promptly and accurately.
- Engage with patrons, providing recommendations, answering questions, and offering excellent customer service.
- Verify the age of guests by checking identification cards before serving alcoholic beverages.
- Identify over served guests and promptly involve management as needed.
3. Service Efficiency:
- Prepare and serve drinks for the service well and bar area in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that guest orders are met promptly.
- Monitor the bar area to ensure it remains clean, organized, and well-stocked during service.
4. Professionalism:
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude at all times, providing friendly and attentive service to guests.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
5. Bar Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize the bar area thoroughly at the end of the night, adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Restock the bar with supplies, including liquor, glassware, garnishes, and other necessary items.
- Assist with regular inventory checks and report any shortages or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending experience is required
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes and bartending techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work both full-time and part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcohol in your location.
