Job Summary:A. SUMMARY
Assists and support in the receiving, recording, and distributing work orders as dictated by supervision by performing the following duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Must be a self starter needing minimum supervision with multi-tasking abilities.
● Must be capable of reading and comprehending work orders, purchase orders, delivery tickets, and prints.
● Must have computer skills, reading, writing, and basic math skills.
● Good verbal communication skills and work closely with fellow employees.
● Individual must be able to follow instructions.
B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES:
● Must be good with Documentation and have good record keeping skills
● Coordinates and facilitates transportation scheduling, order fulfillment, and monitoring throughout.
● Create process improvement solutions to optimize productivity, efficiency, and system accuracy
● Provides the leadership necessary to facilitate process improvements and is able to execute through others.
● Exhibits the company values and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers and growers.
● Strong organizational skills with ability to do multiple tasks and solve problems.
● Need to be dependable, reliable and able to work independently.
● Superior analytical skills
● Posses a thorough understanding of receiving and shipping operations.
● Aptitude to conduct interpersonal interactions, exchange information, persuade, problem solve, and work efficiently under pressure.
● Posses intermediate personal computer skills in the use of Windows, Word and Excel.
● Demonstrate effective verbal and written communications and basic math skills.
● Must be flexible with work schedule, able to work overtime and weekends, travel occasionally, and posses a valid driver’s license.
● Scheduling and Transportation: Through vendor management negotiates and coordinates truck pick up and delivery for customers and inter-company transfers.
● Prepares, job ticket(s), and other reports, forms, records and related paperwork for assigned area.
● Ensures that product output meets established quality policy.
● Ensures established productivity standards are obtained.
● Interacts with other employees in a polite, courteous and productive manner.
● Responsible for adhering to established “Work Rules.”
● Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean and orderly work area.
● Insure all personal protection equipment is monitored and used at all times
● Records information such as name, address, article to be repaired, or service to be rendered.
● Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.
C. QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
● Minimum of 2 years experience as dispatcher.
● Must be a self starter needing minimum supervision with multi-tasking abilities.
● Must be capable of reading and comprehending work orders, purchase orders, delivery tickets, and prints.
● Must have basic computer skills, reading, writing, and basic math skills.
● General knowledge of Black Diamond’s products and services.
● Good verbal communication skills and work closely with fellow employees.
● Individual must be able to follow instructions.
● Values and Ethics: Follows company policies and practices while representing Black Diamond in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with truck drivers, government agencies, growers, and customers.
● Customer Responsiveness: Collaborates and effectively communicates with Black Diamond’s Sales team.
● Administrative: Performs data entry, operates printer/scanner and other office equipment as required. Performs other duties as instructed by Operations Manager.
