Description
The Design Engineer works in tight coordination with the product team including; Product Line Manager, Product Developer, Quality Engineering, and Industrial Designers, on all aspects of design for each product they are assigned. The Design Engineer is specifically responsible for meeting the needs of the business and users by delivering on the concept, strength, physical layout, quality, durability, manufacturability, dimensioning/tolerancing, material selection and manufacturing processes, and other aspects of the product(s) assigned. Design Engineers work in close collaboration with the Business Unit Director, RnD leadership, and the greater BD product team, to ensure solutions meet Black Diamond design ethos, guidelines, and expectations. Design Engineer draws from years of experience to show an increasing level of autonomy and quality of work.
