BKBM Myrtle LLC is Hiring an Assistant Manager - Dog Daycare Near Brooklyn, NY

Description:

We're looking for ambitious and energetic leaders to start as an Assistant Manager, which will be a right hand to our General Manager learning the ropes for both front of house and back of house operations. We want individuals who can develop and build relationships with not only existing dog parents but understand how to generate leads for new customers and grow our daycare & wellness business. This is accomplished by generating new pet parent leads, daily phone calls to new and existing parents, working on converting leads to dog meet & greets, creating and posting social media posts, running, and operating local events and marketing; with an emphasis on the daily cadence of outreach calls, scheduling of consultative sales conversations and closing sales with dog parents for services.

Operationally, you will be making sure that the existing team runs smoothly. Overseeing and supporting our General Manager in creating schedules, maintaining operational excellence in the facility and managing any escalated customer service issues. Our focus is on the overall health and wellbeing of not only the dog in our care but the quality of life that a happy, healthy dog provides its parents, as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and foster new clients, be a genuine people person
  • Monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns, including social media, local business and apartment complex partnerships, and in store events
  • Design and manage marketing programs designed to enhance and grow dogs in daycare
  • Work directly with dog parents selling weekly Enrollment in daycare and wellness services
  • Collaborate with team to create an exceptional experience at every customer interaction
  • Achieve set sales targets for the location
  • Manage the pet parent journey from beginning to end

Team Management

  • Create staffing schedule and monitors daily schedules
  • Maintain optimum staffing and development with all employees
  • Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team-oriented culture.
  • Deliver written performance reviews and give employees positive acknowledgement when due!
  • Onboard all employees and insure each employee has the correct amount of training

Clean and Safe Environment

  • Ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environment we take pride in working as a team to get all the nitty gritty complete
  • Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards
  • Train staff so that they are well equipped to deal with any behavioral issues in the playrooms
  • Dismisses dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and monitors action plans to retain those with minor issues

Financial and Administrative

  • Ownership of sales development for Front desk
  • Develop team in up-selling and using dog Evaluations to grow revenue.
  • Maintain controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively look for ways to maximize efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly P&L’s for review of ownership and Dogtopia corporate office
  • Communicate any concerns or needs to franchise owner proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issues.

Customer Service and Presentation

  • Maintains a neat and organized Front Desk team and area at all times. This includes holding team to professional clean dress.
  • Sets the example for the team on the 3 S's (smile, story and satisfaction) and hold accountable to internal and external customer service standards.
  • Keeps the team members engaged in their duties.
  • Strive for high customer review ratings!

  • Maintain and grow goals for average dogs in the door

As the General Manager you are responsible to work with all customers and team members to ensure our customer experience sets the highest standards and satisfaction of our customers.

  • Experience working in sales & service with exposure to marketing

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Must love dogs
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Sales and marketing experience a plus
