BJC HealthCare is Hiring a Community Health Education Instructor (PRN) Near St. Louis, MO

Additional Information About the Role
  • St. Louis Children's Hospital and the Safety Stop Team is looking for it's newest Community Education Instructor!
  • This is an on-site position, PRN position. Must be able to work at least 2 shifts per month.
  • In this role, you will work with families and provide safety education on car seats- including installation, helmet, home and sleep safety concerns.

Preferred Qualifications


Role Purpose

Responsible for teaching classes, giving presentations, conducting tours and working at various events for family and/or educators. Researches, develops and/or delivers classes, presentations, activities and other events.


Responsibilities

  • Delivers child health and wellness, normal growth and development, safety, and other pediatric presentations, classes and other events for the community and schools.
  • Provides hands-on instruction and/or medical care to children, parents and professionals through a variety of activities.
  • Serves as an ambassador of the hospital by giving tours, offering activities and providing other services at the hospital, in schools and at other community organizations.
  • Assists with accurate tracking of all community education information.
  • Assists with the revision of current programs and the development of new programs.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • <2 years

Supervisor Experience

  • No Experience

Preferred Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Related field of study

Experience

  • 2-5 years
