ROVING TEACHER

Full-Time Position

Salary (Pay depends on permit held):

 Master Teacher: $29.02 to $32.65/hr. (approximately $60,362 to $67,912 annually)

Teacher: $25.00 to $28.15/hr. (approximately $52,00 to $58,552 annually)

Associate Teacher: $21.58 to $24.30/hr. (approximately $44,886 to $50,544 annually)

 Job Summary:  Fills in during the absence of center staff or as additional staff when there is a need or as assigned. Supervises and instructs children enrolled in preschool and/or childcare programs. Is responsible for the supervision of an Instructional Assistant and care of children in a group as assigned. The position includes working with children ages 2-3.

 Minimum Qualifications: 

-Education:12 core units of early childhood education (ECE) or child development (child/human growth & development, child/family/community or child and family relations and program and curriculum). Preventative Health Practices (16 hours).

-Credential:Current Associate Teacher Child Development Permit, issued by California Teacher Credentialing.

-Experience:1 year in an ECE or school age center setting. Preferred Infant/Toddler units & experience. Applicants must have one (1) year experience working as an ECE teacher including lesson planning and child assessment. 

-Certification:Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and Pediatric First Aid and Health and Safety in the child care setting course.

 Other Requirements:

-Must have a valid CA. Driver License, Registered and Insured Vehicle.

-Fingerprint and criminal clearances required.
