RESPONSIBILITIES

·Sr. Resource Valuation/Planning Analyst position:Maintain and operate optimization models used to develop the integratedresource plan (IRP), asset valuation studies, production cost analytics, andresource acquisition including the following activities: Ensure modelassumptions are current and accurate (examples include loads, unitcharacteristics, fuel costs, environmental policy, transmission, resourceretirements, and resource additions) Document inputs and outputs.

·Troubleshoot model errors.

·Review forecast/model results to ensure they arereasonable and consistent with input assumptions. Update model data and modelconfiguration when new versions of the software are released. Compile andinterpret large and complex data sets to formulate model inputs.

·Complete ad-hoc analysis in support of resourceinvestment, resource acquisition, and structured commercial transaction opportunities.

·Complete writing assignments that describe modelmethods, assumptions, and results.

·Perform assignments requiring analysis, integration,and creativity for which the purpose, objectives, and methods may or may not bewell defined.

·Assist in the production of communication materialsused to explain complex information to internal and external stakeholders(written memorandum, slide presentations).

·Provide input and recommendations for improvementsto model and database processes and practices.

·Gather data, complete analysis, and accuratelypopulate data templates used for external reporting (i.e., fuel mix reports, load,and resource reports, etc.) consistent with requirements established byregulators and other external parties.

·Support discovery and regulatory requests relatedto modelling activities.

·In addition, the responsibilities of the ResourceValuation/Planning Specialist include Update model data and model configurationwhen new versions of the software are released.

·Identify and implement appropriate modellingmethods and techniques consistent with project scope and intended deliverables.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION

·Requires 5 Years of Resource Valuation/Planning experience.

·3-5 years of data stream modelling and forecasting experience

·Experience with Plexos Analytics & Decision Platformexperience
