Responsibilities:
·Build andmaintain shared Ubuntu Linux and Docker images for use across the enterprise.
·Build andmaintain shared cloud infrastructure tooling.
·Maintain customtools for creating application machine images.
·Write reusable,tested, and efficient software code and scripts.
·Write automatedtests to validate changes, and manually test those changes.
·Troubleshootand resolve technical problems and code defects.
·Use a varietyof tools to manage source code, builds, and deployments.
·Providetechnical support for tools and systems owned by the team.
·Be an activeparticipant in team meetings and processes, like design and code reviews.
Required skillset:
·Bachelor'sdegree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology,or equivalent experience.
·Professionalexperience working as a software engineer, system administrator, networkadministrator, or other related position.
·Extensiveexperience with Linux operating system, scripting, and tools.
·Experiencewriting Python computer programming language.
·Strong verbaland written communication skills to communicate effectively with businesspartners and other engineers.
·History ofcontinual learning about technical subjects.
·Experience withconfiguration management tools like Puppet or Chef.
·Experience withtools like Git, Jenkins and Artifactory.
·Experience withContinuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
·Knowledge of orexperience with some of the following:
·Informationsecurity best practices.
·Public cloudinfrastructure like AWS or Microsoft Azure.
·Infrastructureas code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
·Containertechnologies like Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
·Monitoringtools like New Relic or SignalFx.
·Log aggregationtools like Splunk.
