ComputerNetwork Defense Analyst

BizFirst is currently assisting our client in hiring for afull-time Cybersecurity CND Analyst position. This role offers the option of acompressed work week, allowing candidates to choose between 4 days of 10-hourshifts or 5 days of 8-hour shifts for enhanced flexibility.

  • Hybrid Work Environment: The position adopts a hybrid workmodel, requiring employees to be onsite for two days and remote for three dayseach week. Onsite locations include DLA offices in Columbus, OH; Fort Belvoir,VA; or Battle Creek, MI. (Whichever is near for you)
  • Training and Onboarding Schedule: The initial training andonboarding phase spans approximately 2-3 months. During this period, newanalysts are expected to be onsite five days a week, working standard 8-hourshifts from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Shift Schedule: Following the completion of the trainingperiod, the role transitions to a 3rd shift schedule, with flexible hourstypically spanning from 11 pm to 7 am. This arrangement allows for 4 days of10-hour shifts per week, with the option to flex the remaining two hours aroundthe core 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities:

As a ComputerNetwork Defense Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementproactive measures to guard, analyze, and mitigate unauthorized activitieswithin DLA's information systems and networks.
  • Expertlymanage CND compliance, employing advanced tools and techniques forcomprehensive threat analysis and incident response.
  • Conductmeticulous monitoring of cybersecurity tools, adeptly handling alerts andcoordinating incident responses.
  • Engagein proactive threat hunting to detect and counteract emerging cybersecurityrisks.

Qualifications:

To besuccessful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • TopSecret security clearance required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Minimumof five years in relevant roles or equivalent formal education.
  • Provenexpertise in network traffic analysis, system log examination, and root causeidentification of cybersecurity events/incidents.
  • Proficientin written/verbal communication for effective incident documentation andbriefing.
  • Proficientin at least two cybersecurity domains.
  • Knowledgeablein scripting languages (Perl, Bash, Powershell, Ruby, Python).
  • Proficientin Microsoft Office suite.
  • DODApproved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II.
  • DODApproved 8570/8140 CSSP Certification: CSSP-IR.
