Come grow your career with BIX Produce! We are hiring for a Food Assembly Operator. This position is responsible for the assembly of orders to include, but not limited to; order revision, printing required documents, placing case and pallet labels, managing order assembly. Is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of product counts and product is correctly labeled. 

• Starting pay is $18.00 up to $19.10 an hour
• Located 10 minutes from downtown St. Paul
• Mon - Fri, some Saturdays required, Sunday off 
• 7AM to Production Completion 

Responsibilities

• Know all products and location of products in production.• Communicate to the processing staff what needs to be produced for current orders.• Learn different requirements for all distributors’ and fulfill these requirements to ensure order completion.• Direct finished product flow and allocation.• Ensure product quality is being packaged for the order. • Accurately select product from the warehouse, in accordance with specifications on the label and voice pick system and bring into the production room.• Use voice pick system to locate the product location, size, color, and quantity to be selected.• Transport filled order to staging area. • Maintain a safe working environment to reduce injuries and workers compensation claims.• Food Safety as it relates to this position.• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• One year in food production, preferred• Ability to read and write English• Strong attention to details and ability to multitask• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively• Environment is cold (approximately 38 degrees)• Requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly• Must be able to work with limited supervision. • High School degree or equivalent
