PURCHASING ASSISTANT/ BUYER ENTRY LEVEL
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Interact with Suppliers to schedule on-time delivery of Products to meet our Customers’ Requirements while maximizing revenues. Contribute to Cost Saving Programs as well as the development of supplier Programs, Tracking shipments, EC and other tasks as assigned by the Manager to fulfill the needs of the position.
AREAS OF INTERACTION:
Interface with Material Manager, Plant Managers, VP Operations, Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, Shipping/Receiving areas, Schedulers, Accounts Payable, Customer Services and Sales Force (when required).
Ultimately, be able to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Create Purchase Orders based on information from Senior Buyer and Materials Manager, and follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates.
· Data Entry and processing of Purchase Orders and Order receipts, coordinate reschedules, cancellations, quantity and prices changes, “ship to” changes for each supplier and per Purchase Order.
· Manage Bitzer SYR Scroll account per placing Purchase Orders accordingly with the Customer Service Sale Order confirmation and Stocking requirements, confirm Ship dates once Order Acknowledge is confirmed and Receive the Parts in our system based on the Delivery Notes provided by Bitzer SYR team in this case.
· Take appropriate follow up actions and ensure the system is updated with relevant information for the Past Due Orders Report.
· Also review Open Purchase Order report to look ahead and ensure tracking information and confirmed deliveries are updated in the system.
· Work with Production & Customer Service to expedite parts as required.
· Work with the Warehouses to close orders, take corrective actions with supplies and ensure closure with accounts payable; as well as support return goods and discrepancy review processes as needed.
· Resolve Accounts Payable Discrepancies related to Purchasing activities.
· General Administrative/Clerical Tasks
