Position Summary:

Are you looking for something fast-paced, with a lot of daily interaction and variety? If yes, our Truck Dispatch Associate opportunity may be just right for you! This position plays a key role within our Trucking Division and supports its daily success. A typical day in this position includes dispatching end dumps, processing driver hand tickets, and communicating with end dump drivers. This position will also back up and assist the Truck Dispatcher.

This is a seasonal position with winters off. Benefits are available and carry year-round. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Back-up to Truck Dispatcher.
• Sign trucks in and out daily.
• Monitor incoming loads of material.
• Ensure trucks being scaled out are properly loaded.
• Organize, review, cost and manage manual trucking tickets.
• Communicate daily material production needs to plant personnel.
• Work with Trucking Dispatcher to reroute trucks during daily operations as needed.
• Remotely Scale Trucks.
• Map truck routes as needed.
• Quickly and proactively resolve problems that may arise.
• Regular communication throughout the day via texting on cell phone.
• Answer the phones.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience/Education:

• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Skills in time management, organization, and conflict resolution.
• Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs:
• Ownership in projects/problems.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Motivated and reliable.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of the seven-country metro area (truck routes).
