STATE PROFILE SUMMARY: 

Under supervision, provides entry level professional support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental and traffic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Under general supervision, provides proficient level technical services to material suppliers, District.

Laboratories, and contractor's representatives for testing and materials related matters in assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

·Bachelor's degree in a related field

·OR Associate degree’s in a related field

·OROne year of experience at position equivalent

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·Possesses a Quality Control Technician Level 1 Certification.

·Possesses a valid Georgia Driver's License

·Experience in asphalt materials sampling and testing, policies, and procedures for material acceptance testing and/or material specification requirements.

·Experience using computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel to communicate pertinent information.

·Possess a high level of commitment toward work, providing quality customer service and a high standard of ethical conduct.

·Experience communicating and interacting with co-workers, and external customers in a professional manner.

 

AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

·Possesses a Quality Control Technician Level 2 Certification.

·Experience using AASHTOWare and GDOT 411 for entering and retrieving data.

In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
