AWS Cloud Application Developer

Philadelphia, PA (3 days a week)

Primary Functions:

1. Conducts detailed analysis, design, development, and implementation of software applications and databases at an analyst level.
2. Converts complex technical requirements into executable code for new projects or enhancements to existing applications, ensuring internal client needs are met. Responsible for crafting, testing, and maintaining code, as well as generating detailed reports. Utilizes modern software development methodologies to integrate test automation within a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) framework.
3. Manages the deployment of code across development, testing, and production environments in a timely manner while also providing ongoing support post-release.
4. Adheres to established software development processes and learns about the organizational development architecture and standards.
5. Engages in thorough reviews of design, code, and test protocols across project cycles to pinpoint and resolve issues. Involves in systems analysis tasks as needed.
6. Develops an understanding of client business operations and technological requirements, while getting acquainted with Vanguard's suite of tools, technologies, and applications, including those with interdependencies.
7. Commits to learning and upholding policies and procedures related to IT and Information Security.
8. Takes part in varied projects and fulfills additional responsibilities as required.

Technical Capabilities:

1. Proficient in developing full-stack applications specifically designed for AWS Cloud environments.
2. Programming expertise in both Python and Java.
3. Demonstrable skills in AWS services, including but not limited to Lambda, ECS, Glue, S3, Athena, CloudFormation, and monitoring through CloudWatch logs.
