Insurance Agent – Sales and Service

This is a unique opportunity to use your business and sales skills to serve the churches, non-profits, and related businesses including schools, camps, and addiction treatment service providers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic sales and service professional who can generate leads and then navigate the sales process to completion. Intimate familiarity with our customer base is essential. Our team will support you in the areas of marketing, IT, and customer service.

Our company is family owned and operated and has been in operation since 1938. We have more than 6,000 customers across nine states, and we are expanding into new sectors of business. We also have many long-serving and successful agents. For the right person, this is a very good time to join and make a long-term commitment to our team.

This is a licensed, professional, position that includes managing the sales process and taking care of our customers. You should be able to create and present sales proposals to win new customers.

To be successful as an Insurance Agent, you should be enthusiastic about our mission of serving ministries, non-profits, and related organizations. You must be proficient with technology and able to demonstrate effective communication with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory.
  • Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
  • Maintaining a home office where you will stay organized, contact prospects, work on proposals, train, and connect to the home office with our state-of-the art technology.
  • Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling insurance products to new and existing customers.
  • Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
  • Collaborating with the marketing department to reach customers and present our products and services.
  • Researching competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.
  • Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.

Position Requirements:

  • High school graduate, college degree preferred.
  • Proven sales experience.
  • Strong Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software skills.
  • Strong consultative sales skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Pay: Generous base salary plus commission
