We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven sales professional who can generate leads and then drive the sales process to completion. We offer something that is hard to find: an opportunity to serve the church and non-profit sector with your sales and marketing skills. Intimate familiarity with our customer base is essential. We will support you with strong home office capabilities in Marketing, IT, Training, HR, and Customer Service.

Our company is family owned and operated and has been in operation since 1938. We have more than 6,000 customers across nine states, and we are expanding into new sectors of business. We have many long-serving, successful agents, some of whom are approaching retirement. For the right person, this is a very good time to join and make a long-term commitment to our team.

The Insurance Sales Agent responsibilities include maintaining on-going sales pipeline reports for management, contacting potential and existing customers, and serving existing customers. You should also be able to create as well as present credible sales proposals to prospective customers to encourage sales and retain business. You must obtain and maintain a professional insurance license. We are serious about being professional and expect a commitment to staying current with industry best practices.

To be successful as an Insurance Sales agent, you should be passionate about our mission of serving ministries and non-profit organizations. You must be proficient with technology and able to demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets.

Insurance Sales Responsibilities:

  • Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory.
  • Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
  • Maintaining a home office where you will stay organized, contact prospects, work on proposals, train, and connect to the home office with our state-of-the art technology.
  • Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling insurance products to new and existing customers.
  • Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
  • Collaborating with the marketing department to reach customers and present our products and services.
  • Researching competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.
  • Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.

Insurance Sales Position Requirements:

  • High school graduate, college degree preferred.
  • Proven sales experience.
  • Strong Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software skills.
  • Strong consultative sales skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Pay: Generous base salary plus commission
