Social Studies Teacher

Bishop O'Connell High School is seeking a Social Studies teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates should be qualified and prepared to teach various courses within the discipline. Applicants should have a degree in history or a closely related discipline within social studies. Teaching experience, advanced degree, and/or education coursework is preferred. The Social Studies department emphasizes student engagement, critical thinking, writing and collaboration. The successful candidate will have a passion for exploring how social studies informs the understanding of current events and be able to examine events in the context of the social teachings of the Catholic Church.
