** Hourly Sales Support Specialist (Monday-Friday)**

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the sales support specialist position, joining our **Elkridge, MD** team. **BENEFITS**: This position is **full-time** benefit eligible, elective benefits include: Medical, dental, hearing and vision insurance. * **HOURLY RATE: $17.00/hr**

* **SCHEDULE:** Monday-Friday, approximately 45- 50 hours a week.

Paid vacation, holiday and sick time.

Paid Employee referral program.

This position supports DSD route sales employees and branch staffing needs by providing coverage on routes during temporary vacancies such as vacation, personal days, leaves, and/or other business related reasons.

**Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities include:**

* Communicates with RSPs or management team regarding necessary route execution plans to provide for continuous and uninterrupted quality service to customer base, per route assignment.

* Performs route sales duties such as merchandising, selling, building displays, truck organization and inventory management.

* Regards individualized details of each RSPs preferences whom they are supporting by maintaining truck organization, planogram integrity, and product fulfillment accordingly to route specifications and RSP preferences.

* Provides superior customer service and attends to specific customer requests, per route assignment.

**Other Duties & Responsibilities:**

* May conduct new business development activities on an as needed basis.

Reliable attendance and punctuality are also required. **The employee is also expected to perform other related duties, special projects and functions as required from time to time.**

**Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or GED and six months to one year of demonstrated success in a route sales position.

* Possess a clean driving record.

* Courteous with customer service orientation and demonstrated listening skills.

* Understands and embraces value of safety.

* Professionally and safely operate step-van delivery truck, company van or personal vehicle.

* Able to understand and speak English. Bi-lingual a plus.

**Physical requirements and work environment:**

* Frequently walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, balancing and lifting and reaching using fine manipulation

* Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

* Exposed to outside weather elements
