Birthline of Loveland is Hiring an Assistant Director Near Loveland, CO

Birthline of Loveland is seeking an experienced professional to provide spiritually-focused leadership as the Assistant Director for the Pregnancy Resource Center (1511 E 11th St). The primary job-duties include but are not limited to: volunteer management, client advocacy, and center operations.

Faith/Character Requirements:

- Must be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

- Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and to sexual purity.

- Agree and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith and Policies of Birthline.

- Exhibit a teachable spirit to learn the intricacies of the ministry.

- Exhibits confidence, yet is authentically humble.

- Must be a regular attender of a local church (pastor recommendation needed).

Assistant Director Position Requirements:

- Be able to provide care, support, spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement, and direction for the volunteers, advocates, and clients.

- Experience in an office environment (phones, computers, customers, etc).

- Be able to work with both autonomy and as a team.

- Experience as an employee or volunteer in ministry or nonprofit is required.

Essential Functions:

I. Administration - Responsible for empowering Birthline’s Center team to effectively manage the day-to-day operations, which includes:

- Oversee the volunteers and advocates to ensure they meet client needs and follow Birthline Policies & Procedures.

- Ensure the office is open and staffed 4 days a week, and maintain office operations.

- Ensure the office is kept clean and safe and in good working order.

- Ability to answer telephone calls and emails from donors, clients and community members.

- With Director oversight, coordinate the yearly calendar for the ministries and volunteers, and help with implementation of special events.

- Ensure that Birthline policies are carried out; coordinate new policies to be implemented under Director’s supervision.

- Serve as a connection between volunteers and the Birthline Board of Directors, maintaining healthy relations and communications.

- Ensure correct use of online database; track client data for monthly and annual reporting.

- Look for opportunities to develop new ministries and resources, and work with staff to implement.

II. Human Resources:

- Engage, interview, train, supervise, coach, and celebrate new and active volunteers and advocates.

- Conduct oral evaluations of volunteers and advocates on a yearly basis.

- Develop an organizational structure and monitoring system which ensures volunteers and advocates talents and time are best utilized to carry out Birthline’s mission.

- Conducting volunteer training programs on a monthly basis.

- Attend the Heartbeat International convention every-other year.

- Send monthly reports to Director and Board prior to scheduled Board meeting.

III. Development:

- Assist with direct mail pieces and newsletters, including the writing of client-focused newsletter articles.

- Assist with donor communications on a regular basis including thank you notes.

- Obtain feedback and continually assess effectiveness of ministry programs and their specific goals.

V. Public Relations:

- Assist with the development of promotional materials used in presenting Birthline to clients, community, and churches.

- Assist in maintaining an active online presence with appropriate regular communication to supporters and clients.

VI. Intangibles:

- Must be a caring individual who is able to resolve conflicts in a sensitive, Christ honoring manner.

- Must be capable of building strong relationships with staff, volunteers, Board Members, and donors.

- Must be a person who leads volunteers and advocates with enthusiasm.

- Must be able to delegate effectively.

Hours & Compensation: 20/week, $20/hour; a time card will be filled out 2x a month.

Hours will be worked in the Birthline office to ensure quality and consistent operations of the Center (M-Th). Other staff will cover any remaining open-hours.
