BIRNS, Inc. is looking for a high performing Procurement Supervisor. This role is pivotal in optimizing and overseeing our end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and the timely delivery of products to our customers. This role supports BIRNS’ manufacturing operations, and aligns supply chain strategies with our company's mission and objectives. Will manage the day-to-day operations of the Planner, Purchasing Agents, Stockroom and Shipping. Will implement strategies to provide materials and services meeting requirements for quality, cost, and availability, and is responsible to negotiate and secure best and cost-effective pricing to reduce procurement costs.

This position is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the organizations needs for direct materials and services, fixed assets, and tooling; and some indirect materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality, and delivery at competitive levels consistent with BIRNS policy and performance standards. This position is also responsible for the timely planning and scheduling of receipt and inventory control of products and services, consistent with ERP software requirements or as appropriately concluded with a requisitioner.

· Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business, economics, logistics or engineering.

· Professional certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), APICS Certified in Production, Inventory Management (CPIM), or similar.

· At least three to five years’ related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by manager), including 2 years on Forecasting and Planning and 2 years using ERP/SCM software e.g., M1, Oracle, SAP, etc.

· Relevant certifications such as J-STD-001 or WHMA-A-620 and/or experience in cable-assembly manufacturing processes is strongly desired.

Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, work under pressure, and is comfortable interacting with all employee levels in the company, including leadership. Must be able to work cross-functionally within departments and within the company to accomplish objectives, and focus on results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
