Hours:
1st shift- Monday through Thursday 4:00am to 2:30pm
Pay Range: $18.00 to $19.00 commensurate with experience
General Summary:
Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor to transport trailers on company property. Performs light duties as assigned by supervision. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (functions considered essential as defined by the ADA)
Driving
Drive truck to destination.
Drop and spot trailers on finished goods lot.
Back trailers in and out of receiving dock.
Maneuver trailers in and around tight corners, through manufacturing areas and around high pedestrian traffic.
Inspect truck for defects before and after trips, and report problems and concerns to supervisor.
Maintain valid State Drivers License
Safety and Security
Maintain orderly work area.
Maintain security.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Wear required safety equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
No CDL Required
Less than high school education acceptable
Ability to read, count accurately, do simple math and write legibly.
Comply with the General Code of Safe Practices as set by the company.
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
Must be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
Able to use hands and feel simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
