Birch Hospitality, LLC is Hiring a Cook Near Lauderdale, FL

Are you looking for your next adventure? Birch Hospitality, LLC is seeking Cooks for our operation in Hugh Taylor Birch State Park! Located between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale, the property is an oceanside escape! Our full-service restaurant sits among a one-of-a-kind outdoor garden and provides the perfect spot to enjoy a bite to eat, craft beer or tropical drink.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers
  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Execute opening and closing procedures
  • Complete all required food and safety logs
Position Requirements:
  • Knowledge of food preparation and storage, sanitation requirements and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment and in close proximity to other people
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting will be required
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experience: Restaurant experience preferred
