BioNTech AG is Hiring a Procurement Operations Specialist Near Gaithersburg, MD
- Reporting to Director, US Procurement Lead, this position will provide operational support to US-based members of Global Procurement and to US-based business stakeholders.
- Provide triage support for incoming end-user requests for Procurement support, providing guidance & training on relevant processes, procedures & systems.
- Provide end user guidance on purchase requisition creation.
- Execute purchasing transactions internally and/or measure & monitor operational performance of outsourced service provider.
- Support regional spot buy activities and performance improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate regional Procurement reporting of project status, performance metrics & KPIs.
- Provide support during US-led sourcing events.
- Facilitate coordination/execution of agreements and document storage, as required.
- Support transition to future state Source-to-Pay platforms.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 plus years Procurement experience
- Knowledgeable of procurement systems and processes
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with related business functions, both domestically and internationally
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent communication, internally and with external suppliers
- Ability to work partially independently.
- Position will require travel, both domestic and international
- Biopharmaceutical/Life Sciences experience.
- Experience with Coupa Sourcing and Coupa P2P (or similar tools)
- SAP experience
