Associate Director Procurement Research and Development
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, US Procurement Lead, this complex role will join the Global Procurement organization, focusing on supporting US-based stakeholders and their procurement needs within assigned areas.
This position will work with business stakeholders to solicit requirements, define best approach and sourcing model, and execute requirements in support of business needs.
This position may lead the development and execution of regional category management strategies and/or collaborate with Global Category Management colleagues to support the implementation of global strategies within the region.
The position will support the development of US-based Procurement capabilities, presence, and processes, aligned to global functional expectations and requirements and in collaboration with US Legal and US Finance colleagues to improve end-to-end user experience.
The role will also support training, communication and change management efforts with US stakeholders.
This position will perform tracking and reporting of key Procurement performance metrics.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and 8 plus years Sourcing and Procurement experience with a progressing career path and broad category expertise
Solid understanding of sourcing and procurement processes and best practices
Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving procedures and a desire to build functional capabilities.
Strong ability to work cross-functionally with related business functions, both domestically and internationally
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in cases of uncertainty.
Position will require travel, both domestic and international
Experience with Coupa Sourcing and Coupa P2P (or similar tools) preferred. SAP experience a plus.
