Biomea Fusion Inc. is Hiring a Social Media Coordinator Near Redwood, CA

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator who is creative, motivated, and interested in science, healthcare, and technology. Responsibilities include creating engaging content, managing social media accounts, analyzing performance, and collaborating with various teams to develop and publish content aligned with the company's digital and social media strategy. The role involves active cross-functional collaboration, supporting the company website, understanding social media platforms, and developing customized content for each channel. Some experience with video and photography is required for events and conferences. Additionally, the role includes developing content for the company's intranet to facilitate internal communication and employee engagement. The ideal candidate should be creative, hardworking, and able to work onsite in Redwood City, CA.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support Director in the execution of a strategy for corporate digital channels, including curating content, maintaining content calendar, managing reviews, scheduling, distribution, and performance measurement across platforms to enhance Biomea Fusion’s brand.
  • Create and curate engaging content for our social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Manage and monitor our social media accounts, including posting updates, responding to comments and messages, and engaging with our audience.
  • Monitor and optimize performance on ongoing basis for both organic and paid content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop content that aligns with brand and messaging.
  • Partner with Communications colleagues to generate, edit and publish original content designed to build meaningful connections with key stakeholder audiences on digital and social channels.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices and incorporate into our strategy.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports to track progress and optimize strategy.
  • Work with external partners, influencers, and agencies to amplify our social media presence and reach new audiences.
  • Manage the company website, content, and any design changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify updates for Biomea’s website.
  • In partnership with Director, Manage the company intranet, its content and design.
  • Stay informed about industry news and trends to identify opportunities for engagement.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of digital and social media campaigns, monitoring SEO and web traffic metrics, and social media analytics.
  • Act as community manager for all company social channels by consistently engaging with the online community.
  • Some travel may be required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field with 3 years of experience in social media management or 5 years of experience particularly in Biotech/Pharma social media management.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Instagram, to drive targeted-audience engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and compelling content.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
  • Demonstrated social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant graphic design tools preferred.
  • Ability to create in-house social content including photographs, videos, reels, and stories.
  • Positive attitude and detail oriented with good organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to act independently and handle tasks with minimal direction.
  • Proven flexibility in a dynamic environment; able to handle multiple projects in parallel.
  • Operates well in a team-based, collaborative environment.

The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. An individual’s position within the range is based on multiple factors, including education, relevant experience, and length of industry experience; these factors will influence the actual salary offered. In addition to a competitive compensation package, Biomea Fusion, Inc, offers a comprehensive benefits package.
