Position Summary

IS Domain Manager (DM) is responsible to translate the company tactical and strategic objectives into workable capabilities and solutions. Manage and develop their team of Service Managers to deliver IS services which can be technical and/or functional and/or professional and/or regional oriented.

Recruits and selects talents from diverse backgrounds whose match the needs of the function and/or technical and/or professional services. Promotes a broad understanding of IS roles, responsibilities, and capabilities across the company.

Dares to contribute establishing strategy, processes, and guidelines for improving quality of IS Services delivery.

Primary Duties

· Lead a team of Service Managers in the NORAM region to operate, manage and deliver services as standard.

· Implement follow-the-sun principles with other regions.

· Lead your team around the common vision of the OPERATIONS department.

· Manage the capacity of Service Manager teams in their region.

· Support, coach and develop the skills of your team in line with operational priorities.

· Foster team spirit by energizing individuals.

· Contribute to a reflection on the role and missions of Service Managers in conjunction with the OPERATIONS team.

· Facilitate continuous improvement activities in coordination with the OPERATIONS team.

· Responsible for building and executing the budget.

· Manage the department's KPIs, supporting Service Managers in achieving theirs.

· Work regularly with Domain Managers from other regions or other OPERATIONS teams.

· Develop a trusting working environment.

· Communicate and/or escalate operational issues to the OPERATIONS team and the VP.

 Supplemental Data

· Manage a team of 10-12 Service Managers

· Occasional travel required in North America (on bioMerieux sites) and more rarely in France. Travel equates to 10% of time.

Training and Education

· BS degree in computer science, IS, IT or related field.

· Significant experience in lieu of degree.

Experience

· 5 years of relevant IS experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· End-user/business oriented

· Experience in ITSM processes

· Understands application lifecycle best practices.

· Proficient in MS Office Suite and flow chart software.

· Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.

· Must demonstrate ability to complete objectives without high levels of supervision.

· Ensure effective knowledge transfer is planned and executed to support systems, process, people post project delivery.

· Facilitator, good communicator, capacity to act with courage, capable of showing emotional intelligence.
