Biograph is hiring its first Cloud Software Engineer to help scale the technology platform that is revolutionizing healthcare, with a focus on reliability. This role will report directly to the Head of Engineering, with opportunities for leadership as the company grows.

What You’ll Do

As an early member of our engineering team you will have the opportunity to shape the tech, product, and culture at Biograph for years to come.

Responsibilities include:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Implement and enforce best practices for managing infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Scalable Data Architecture: Design, build, and optimize robust, scalable cloud architectures capable of handling diverse health data modalities and delivering impactful patient outcomes.
• Reliability & Observability: Configure and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure operational excellence and proactively address potential issues.
• Networking & Security: Implement secure network configurations to isolate and protect sensitive health data. Configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security controls to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
• Collaborative Culture: Work with full stack engineers to solve problems that matter, and actively contribute to an engineering culture that keeps the bar high and encourages personal development.

Must haves:

• 3 years of professional Software Engineering experience.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing secure cloud infrastructure within a major cloud provider like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of observability best practices and a strong desire to implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Expertise in secure network design, including implementation of security controls like firewalls and IDS/IPS.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Terraform (IAC) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Passionate about applying technology to improve healthcare.

Where You Will Work

This is a hybrid role based in New York City. Team members typically come into the Downtown Manhattan office 3-5 days a week, with empathetic flexibility.
