BioFactura, Inc. is Hiring a Manufacturing Associate Near Frederick, MD

Job Summary:

We are looking for qualified candidates with a bachelor’s degree in biochemical/biological engineering or biological sciences with highly relevant skills and bioprocess manufacturing experience. We are specifically interested in individuals with at least 1-3 years of experience in GMP manufacturing. There is a high preference for the candidate to be familiar with disposable technology such single AKTA skids for protein purification. The candidate will be expected to work on cell culture processes and purification processes for protein manufacturing. These operations include, but are not limited to, solution preparation, single use bioreactors, column chromatography, filtration processes and perfusion technology. They will need to interface with various departments to ensure processes and designs are compatible for new product technology transfer and to establish future process and equipment automation technology. Experience in the preparation and delivery of oral and written presentations as well as participation in the creation/drafting of SOPs and batch records is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data, design appropriately controlled experiments independently, and maintain cGMP documentation are a must.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in biochemical/biological engineering or biological sciences is preferred
  • Hands on experience in GMP biomanufacturing (1-3 years)
  • Excellent time management and proven ability to complete projects on time
  • Excellent level of initiative and quest for knowledge
  • Must be organized and self-motivated
  • Must have excellent communication and writing skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.)
